Short answer: Immigration New Zealand publishes the list of accredited employers, and you can search it yourself in under a minute. An employer who is not on that list cannot support an Accredited Employer Work Visa.
What accreditation does and does not mean
Accreditation means the employer may use the Accredited Employer Work Visa. It does not mean a job exists for you, and it does not replace the separate Job Check for the specific role.
Check the legal entity, not the brand
Match the company name and NZBN on the accredited list to the entity on the Companies Register and to the name on your job offer. Scammers borrow the names of real accredited employers, so the details have to line up exactly.
If the name is not there
Ask the employer for their legal entity name and NZBN in writing, then check again. If it still does not appear, do not pay anyone and do not send documents.
